After completing a short training course you could volunteer to take the
Epilepsy Wales Helpline. This may involve
Taking calls from members of the public who may have epilepsy
Calls from family/friends who need information on epilepsy
Taking referrals from other agencies and organisations
Taking requests for training
You would be trained on all non-medical aspects of epilepsy.
Promoting Epilepsy Awareness
Epilepsy Wales is committed to raising the awareness of epilepsy and
organises many events during the year. You could be involved in
Delivering leaflets and posters to various settings,
i.e. GP surgeries, libraries etc.
Attending Awareness Days in various locations,
i.e., supermarkets, schools, charity fairs, carnivals, fayres etc
Administrators
Administrators ensure that Epilepsy Wales runs smoothly. There are many different
Administrative roles - we can match your skills and time available to our needs.
Tasks may include:-
Using word processing packages
Photocopying
Help collate information and send out
Helping to arrange events
Taking notes and minutes at meetings
Book keeping duties
